This Classic Adirondack Lawn Chair is our only chair made of knotted wood in order to maintain that country charm and rustic look. Unlike our Westport Adirondack Chair this Adirondack Lawn chair is NOT a kit but is shipped partially assembled with easy to follow instructions so you can start enjoying your adirondack lawn chair that much sooner.

Here are just a few of the differences we have made to our classic adirondack lawn chair:

• Solid construction includes full length back brace so it doesn't wobble.
• The back is gently curved to support your spine while eliminating pressure points without being curved too much which would cause your shoulders to hunch forward straining your spine – in other words it's a perfect fit!
• The seat is gently curved to support your body weight without undue pressure to your tailbone or thighs which can cause your legs and feet to painfully fall asleep. Our classic adirondack lawn chair is ergonomically designed to supports you without pressure points!
• The seat front curves down instead of a hard edge so there are NO pressure points behind the knees that cause painful leg cramps and pins and needles in the feet.
• The original adirondack chair was designed so that the seat sat level if you put it on a hill; the problem was if you put it on level ground the seat was nearly impossible to get out of because of the extreme incline. Our classic adirondack lawn chairs have been modified so that you can gently recline on level ground giving you the benefit of lounging while making it possible so you can get out of the chair when you need to.
• We use FSC certified Fir Wood for this specific adirondack chair (Fir is a species of Pine) – it is a soft wood that is both economical, lightweight and easily sanded to remove any scratches caused by wear and tear over the years making it ideal for a summer cottage or vacation home.
• This specific adirondak chair is made of hand selected knotted Fir to give it that more rustic country charm. Each piece of wood is hand selected to assure that knots are not too large, just the right look and feel to enhance the feel of this lawn chair.
• Big wide level arms give you plenty of space for setting down your drink or favourite book.
• The oversized arms have routed edges to add to the country charm feel.
• Our classic adirondack lawn chair is NOT pressure treated – meaning no toxic chemicals have been added to preserve the wood making it safe for your family to enjoy.

This classic adirondak lawn chair is solidly constructed of FSC certified Fir wood . Each piece of fir is kiln dried, cut, sanded, and then pre-assembly process.

Natural finish lawn chairs are shipped unstained or painted ready to be used as is or for you to paint or stain in whatever color you like. Please note that chairs left unfinished will eventually turn to an antique barn board silver color (like driftwood). For this specific chair the antique silver look actually accentuates the rustic country charm.

For the lawn chairs ordered painted white each piece goes through an extensive painting process. We prime each piece using Becker Acroma primer making sure the coat goes on with no bubbles, no blisters, no scratches, no peel, no overrunning at the edges and no surface roughness. Once dry each piece is then sanded to a very fine finish (240 grit abrasive) then cleaned and a beautiful topcoat of Becker Acroma is applied. Please note that fir wood that has been painted will last just as long as cedar adirondack chairs.

The hardware we use for this chair is weather resistant yellow zinc plated hardware . Once completed every piece is carefully inspected for quality and then well packed for damage free shipping.

Please note that due to the size of this adirondack lawn chair and in our efforts to keep shipping prices down this chair is shipped partially assembled with easy to follow assembly instructions that take approximately 30 minutes to complete. We do provide an Allen key for assembly but you will still need your own Philip screwdriver to complete the assembly.

At this time we do not have any accessories available for this adirondak chair. If however there is a demand for them we will begin manufacturing them in the future. If we do begin making accessories for this chair we will notify all previous buyers of this product by email once they are available.
