Our classic patio dining furniture set is NOT pressure treated – meaning no toxic chemicals have been added to preserve the wood making it safe for your family to enjoy.
The Classic patio dining set is made of FSC certified Keruing (a tropical hardwood known for its attractive grain and durability). Keruing is denser than oak, maple or teak which makes it quite resistant to shock and it is extremely hard wearing. Because of the strength of this wood we are able to create beautiful outdoor dining furniture sets without the bulky thickness of lesser woods. Even without the thicker bulk they exceed the strength of cedar or many other outdoor furniture wood species.
Each piece of Keruing is kiln dried, cut, sanded. Tongue and grove pieces are then pre-assembled, re-sanded to assure smooth joints and then stained before final assembly.
